About

My career in international education—as a teacher in the UK and Finland, and as a Head of School in Switzerland, Japan, Germany and Oman—has given me broad and insightful perspectives on international school leadership. This experience has been further strengthened through my accreditation work, supporting and evaluating schools in my role as Associate Director at the Council of International Schools.

This professional journey has shaped my ability to understand the complex opportunities and challenges facing international schools today. I bring a strong appreciation of the cultural contexts that inform my work with diverse school leadership teams and governing boards.

My work focuses on supporting schools in key areas of governance and leadership: effective, efficient and rewarding board practice; the development of clear and purposeful guiding statements, supported by strategic planning to deliver on their intent; insightful evaluation of the Board and Head of School performance; assurance of quality and continuous improvement through rigorous accreditation or IB authorisation processes; and thoughtful succession planning, including effective recruitment and well-managed leadership transitions.
